About Marie France Kiraly

Born and raised in Montreal, I started my artistic career at an early age. Under the tutelage of my father,a graduate of the Universite' de Sorbonne,Paris,France. I learned the basics of sketching and painting. From there,the spark of creativity within me was born and the need to express myself through art became a burning desire. My interest in Alternative Healing therapies,Medical Anthropology,and my love of Nature have strongly influenced my Art. Creative,Unconventional,Original, I let my muse guide me as I express myself on canvas. I believe that art is an expression of one's soul, and should be as individual as each artist.

 

I have been a comissioned artist since the age of 16 and have paintings in many homes, Hospitals, and Banks. I have studied Photography and Art at Vanier Collage,Montreal and at present learning the art of silk painting with the well known silk artist Elizabeth Mitchell.
